World Longest EMU Trains in Mumbai by the End of this Month, Mumbai will have its 1st 15-Coach Local Trains. It will be flagged off by Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee. The train will also be the Longest EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) in the world. Initially, the Train is expected to run between Dadar & Virar. It is expected to halt at Andheri, Borivli & Vasai which have Long Platforms. But Not Halt at Dahisar, Mira Road, Bhayander, Naigaon & Nalasopara.

Western Railway (WR) motormen have decided not to co-operate with the administration if 15-car trains are launched in a hurry. They want all other issues relating to the train to be resolved first.
